Based in Spalding, Lincolnshire, Empire World Trade (EWT) is a leading UK importer and distributor of fruit, principally apples and pears.

Sales of these family favourites are worth £1 billion, and account for 25% of all the fruit sold in the UK.

We have a very healthy bite of this market – and supply 1 in 9 of all apples and pears sold by retailers.

EWT has a broad spread of the major UK retailers as customers and some of the best apple and pear suppliers in the world.

The business was founded in 1988 and the company founders are still shareholders, now in partnership with ISIS Equity Partners the independent investment group.
